After some time again appears some new artwrorks. Artworks were commentated by main graphic from 2K Czech Roman Hladík and drawn by Jiří Světinský.

This is a moodboard of Joe Barbaro, Vito’s best friend. A moodboard like this isn’t necessarily taken from a scene in the game, it is created to communicate Joe’s personality to everyone on the Mafia team – a picture speaks a thousand words. Here we see that Joe is a gregarious young gangster enjoying his life of dirty money. The girl on Joe’s lap definitely isn’t his girlfriend (if you get my meaning). The author of this sketch is Jiri Svetinsky, one of our character artists.

Another moodboard of Joe by Jiri. This is Joe’s flat in Little Italy, he likes to party and keep his neighbours up all night. Joe himself sleeps through the day, usually with some of his “girlfriends”. Maybe this scene is the morning after the night shown in the first sketch?

On the internet appeared five character pictures from Mafia 2. That´s not in-game images, but reders of characters from different coals. On the pictures are figures:

Vito Scaletta – In a long coat Joe Barbaro(1,2) – He is on two pictures. First time in undershirt and underpants, and second time it looks like, that he grappled with somebody. He is clothing in his favorite shirt with hawaiian patterns. Mike “Mikey” Brusky- He is an auto mechanic, who will like Ralph or Lucas in the first Mafia procure your cars. Joan Burner – The only thing, that we know about this woman is her name, but we can predict, that she will be either Vitos girlfriend or maybe someones elderly mafioso daughter.

Elizabeth again updated the official website, but not for the another two artworks. The update is related to another part of the serial GET TO KNOW YOUR DEV. This time Elizabeth did an interview with Lukas Berka, whoes care of artificial intelligence (AI) in Mafia 2. Interview is short, but according to me better than artworks or nothing.

What is your role on the Mafia II team? I am responsible for all AI features to be completed in the proper quality and proper time. This is a good manager-answer, right?

What is your most favorite thing about your job? It’s great when a person can see how a game gets created from the very beginning and even better is if a person can contribute with his own ideas or feedback. I am really glad that I can be part of this project with all these great people.

What is your least favorite thing about your job? Maybe waking up in the morning (I find waking up before 9am rather weird) or the coffee machine that sometimes forgets to return the coins properly.

What types of music do you listen to? I listen to good music but sometimes also to a worse one, so that after that I can like the good one even more. Although there was this one time when I listened to Britney Spears and since then I like generally anything. Any hobbies? … girls…cars…toy collecting…comics? I do collect toy figures of girls in cars or something like that.

What is your favorite game? All right, it is Mafia II. Other than that its DoTa (Defense of the Ancients – mod W3 ), there is nothing like a little ownage after the work.

The oficial websites was updated about two unmeaning antworks, which are tuned to grey and about new logo DELUCA’S RESTAURANT. The antworks visibly lose a quality, so I hope, that Elizabeth works up for us something different next time.
