Gamers seem to be drawn to the open world, sandbox-style genre of games like ‘Grand Theft Auto’, ‘Crackdown’ and ‘Dead to Rights’. Another prime example would also be ‘Mafia’ which was first released a while back on PC and then later on PS2 and the original Xbox. The ‘Mafia’ series has an Italian-American gangster theme much like the ‘Godfather’ movie and features third-person shooting elements as well as open world exploration. ‘Mafia II’ is being developed by the same guys who created the first Mafia, Illusion Softworks; however, instead of being known as Illusion Softworks they are now known as 2K Czech.
